Garden Gate .. a creative approach to learning in the early years.
“Nothing without joy.”
- Loris Malaguzzi
Exploring Through Projects
Projects might last a few hours, a few days, or even a few months. At Garden Gate children have time to explore their interests, to pursue questions, create theories and extend knowledge.
Growing Minds Through Creativity
Arts, culture, motion and movement. At Garden Gate we use all of our senses and outlets to keep young minds sharp and ever evolving in our studio classrooms.
“Learning and teaching should not stand on opposite banks and just watch the river flow by; instead, they should embark together on a journey down the water. Through an active, reciprocal exchange, teaching can strengthen learning how to learn.” - Loris Malaguzzi
Not All Classrooms Have Four Walls
Our outdoor classroom spaces on the beautiful Featherstone campus and on the adjacent Land Bank trails, offer children a rich and dynamic environment for whole-child development. Open-ended, child-led play, especially in outdoor environments, offers children a powerful foundation for learning that is both joyful and deeply meaningful.
A Community of Belonging
Garden Gate provides an inclusive model of education that gives a voice to those who might otherwise struggle to be heard, always supporting each child’s right to full participation. Our emphasis on a strong social and emotional curriculum supports the needs of all children and families without exception.
